Nature Republic New Product this month! Natural Republic The First Essence

 Natural Republic The First Essence

Currently they are doing a Launching Event and selling the product in 30% of the price. I got it during the sale, and I thought it would be a nice product to introduce to everyone.

This is the new product The First Essence.
It's one of those fermentation products that is only available in Korea.
HOW TO USE: Apply right after your face wash as the first step of your skin care makeup.
150ml / 32,000won

To those who is new to fermentation. Its a simple science that does natural reactions to a food or liquid with human-friendly bacteria and as the bacteria fermentation the product the product than now contains extra particles much more effective on the body. Kimchi is one of the most basic and most famous food that goes through fermentation, the longer the Kimchi stays fermentation the more expensive and more healthier to the body it gets.

Natural Republic promies 72 hours of brightening to the skin, also whitening, moisturizing, smoother skin texture, and healthier skin.

I have used this for a while, and I do think like Skin Food Black Sugar Serum it does help with turn overs. Because it helps moisturizing the skin it also brings out healthy light to the skin, like skin care ought to do.

Bit of brand explanation on the top of the box

I liked everything about the ingredient except one thing. phenoxyethanol.
I later found out that they had ethanol inside this product.
I know there are girls who hate this ingredient, I advice you to check out black sugar instead. Other than that I love that they used 6 different kind of herbs and 90% of fermentation yeast! It is great skin healing for the skin!

Nice blocked tube type easy to control spills!!! XD
The liquid seem green or maybe not, I can't really tell,
It's a very liquid like texture so if you are looking for bit more serum type of texture, this might not be what you are looking for. It didn't have that fermentation smell, instead it was very soft to the nose and very refreshing smell. I am sure those who hate scents might like this one.

Just applied / After absorbency

The first essence had a great absorbency, the liquid texture helped the essence to be soak into the skin much better.

I hate this Blogger picture uploaded, it seems to make the pictures so dark!
Well, you get to see my pores bit more exaggerated. Anyways, this is after 1 week of use, you can see how it toned up my skin and dark spot seems to disappear a bit, redness also disappearing. Its been a while since I used this, but I think it really helped with the rough skin parts and helped my skin to have that natural healthy lightening from inside the skin.

OVERALL RATING!

    1. I know they are!! That's why I prefer fermentation products, so much kinder with the ingredients. Much healthier for the skin, and less irritiation for all kind of skin.
Oh but there are people who is just allergic to fermentation products so you'll have to check out the product first before purchase

    1. There is a lot of fermentation products. Its similar in texture and effect. It's hard to see a difference, because I did see effect from both of the products. I guess this comes down to what products suit your individual skin well

  3. first essence means to be applied after cleansing...so it's like a toner?

    1. Yes like a toner, I know names can be complicating a bit, I even think about making a makeup dictionary but there is so many! @-)

    2. Arhh I see...hmm a makeup and skincare dictionary, that's a good idea! Like I realised Kr call toner as 'skin', and emulsion as 'lotion' sometimes.

  6. Hi, thanks for the detailed review. I actually just went to Korea and bought The First kinda spontaneously. I had heard great things about this brand and so wanted to try out their skin care. The thing is, I had asked for toner & moisturizer but (maybe because the sales girl can't really understand english and I can't speak korean) they actually recommended I buy the Essential Skin & Emulsion, saying that the Essence is an optional step. Now that I'm back I just read that Essential Skin is supposed to be used after Essence. and so I'm at loss now. I wonder if you can help me with that...

    1. No I think Essential Skin is the first step and Essence the next. Names can be confusing at time. What is the actual name of the product?

    1. Yes, I did see difference because I have dry skin and bit of oily parts. If you wash off the oil well and apply this I think you can still see effect. But I do know that dry skin people tend to see dramatically result in skin tone evening and whitening than oily skin
